Wheres Roy hiding?
Brandon Roy has been creating a bit of a stir in Portland by leaving the court to stand alone in a tunnel during the national anthem. Roy said he’s not trying to make any sort of political statement, that he just wants a moment of solitude before the game and that he would stop doing it if it bothered enough people. “It’s not me doing some (star-treatment) thing,” said Roy. “It’s just something I’ve done for the last two years to have a quiet moment to myself.” Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge also left the court before a recent game against Chicago and some thought he was joining Roy. But Aldridge said he had to go to the bathroom and that it wouldn’t happen again.
