Each local EMS agency will retain ownership of all data that is entered by that agency. The Office of EMS will act only as a central storehouse for the required data elements. Local EMS agencies will have complete access and ownership of their data stored on their computers or in their files. The Office of EMS will release no identifiable patient data. The release of identifiable patient information can be done only through the EMS agency and only to authorized recipients.
