He voluntarily took a leave of absence from Soft Skull Press in September of 2001, and moved out to his aunt’s house on Long Island to write a book about Karl Rove, among other various projects.Although still a shareholder of the corporation, he is no longer involved in any aspect of the day-to-day operation of the press.You can learn more about what he is up to these days on his personal site, sanderhicks.com.
