At 11:00 a.m. EDT, the center of Tropical Storm Noel was located near latitude 22.7 north and longitude 78.5 west or about 175 miles south-southwest of Nassau. Noel is moving toward the north-northwest near 8 mph and a turn to the north is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds have increased and now are near 50 mph with higher gusts.
