Where does System.out and System.err go?

Under Windows, STDOUT and STDERR from servlets get printed in the DOS window which you get when you double click on Tomcat’s STARTUP batch file. Unfortunately, I’ve forgotten how to get that window to have a buffer and allow scrolling (you can set it up for copy and paste though).
