Here are some places that teen workers cannot be employed. -Restaurants or food service -Recreational locations -Manufacturing industries -Mechanical or service industries -Theatrical industry -Barber shops -Retail or grocery stores Retail or grocery stores 15 year-olds can work as baggers, cashiers or stock clerks in retail or grocery stores during non-school weeks only. 15 year olds can work in retail food stores on Saturdays only throughout the school year for a maximum 8 hours per day.
