Hello, Yes, owning a parrot is an awesome responsibility. It is wonderful that you have done your homework. I agree that you should be looking at adoption. Try to find groups that re-homee birds.. Birds really suffer from being neglected and shut up in garages, etc. Many owner die and their birds are put into SPCA organizations or shelters. Call your local vet and ask him where to find a parrot to adopt. Don’t think of buying one from a pet shop when there are so many little babies to adopt. Good luck to you.
