Where are various Nokia Maps files stored?
On some mobile devices like the Nokia N95, Nokia Maps will be pre-installed on ROM (Read Only Memory), the map data and additional guide content will be stored on the memory card drive if existing. If the mobile device needs to be reflashed, map data will not be lost if stored on the memory card. Purchased features can be restored via manual update. To regain your navigation license in the Nokia Maps application for the remaining time period of your navigation license (go to Options > Extra Services > Add navigation). Choose the region for which you purchased the navigation license and go to Options > Update. Please allow the connection to the license server to check the purchase & license options by selecting Yes and by then selecting the proper Internet access point (if asked).
