The books are in the “stacks,” which are behind the big, imposing wooden desk that you see as you walk in. Look for the two lighted “Exit” signs on either side of the lobby. Go through either one, and follow the yellow stripe on the floor to get back to the stacks.

Roux Library’s collection is classified in the Dewey System. The first floor holds the reference collection. The second floor has the 000s through the 300s. The third floor has the 400s through the 900s, and the oversize book collection.

In the Scott Library, books are located on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors (we call these the stacks). They are organized by call number. Call numbers beginning A-D are on the 3rd floor, E -N on the 4th floor and P-Z on the 5th floor. (When you are in Scott Library, look for the floor directory located on the 2nd floor right by the escalators if you need a refresher).

Most are in the Stacks on the second floor. New and Pop books are on the first floor of the Library, near the computer lab. Reference books are on the first floor past the Reference Desk.
