When you put the mentos which coke makes it explode?
A mento candy may feel smooth to the touch but on it are little pits and each of these acts as a nucleation site. Other small items such as marbles or grapes will not work as well as mentos because they lack the pitted surface. So when a mento is released into a bottle, all the carbon particles are released from the liquid causing gas bubbles.
