February 1, 2011 is the effective date of the stock split, with the FCX common stock trading on a “split” basis beginning February 2, 2011. If you own FCX common stock as of the effective date of the split, your account with FCX’s transfer agent or your brokerage account will be credited with the additional shares as of February 1, 2011.
