The Hilal Committee of Metropolitan Toronto & Vicinity, based upon physical sighting of the moon with the naked eye, supported by astronomical data for the possibility of moon sighting in its designated parameter of Canada, USA & some of the Caribbean countries, announces the first of Zhul Hijjah 1428 to be on Tuesday 11 December, 2007. The Ulama & Representatives of the GTA masajid present at the meeting declared the above decision based upon a confirmed sighting in Barbados. Therefore, EID UL ADHA will take place on THURSDAY, 20th DECEMBER 2007.
