When are Restylane® and Perlane® used?
With Restylane® we can correct nasolabial folds (nose to lip), glabellar creases (between the eyes), marionette lines (corner of mouth to chin), and much more. Restylane® is also a great product for redefining the boarders of the lips, plumping the lips, or perking up the corners of the mouth. Perlane® particles are slightly larger so it is injected slightly deeper in the skin. It is a great product for dealing with moderate to severe wrinkles, creases, and folds. Perlane® can also be used to correct the inevitable volume losses that occur in the face with aging and to augment the cheeks, the chin, lips, or for general facial contouring. During your consultation at EMBODY Medical Spa Dr. Mayo will help you determine which product is right for your particular needs. Neither Restylane® nor Perlane® contain animal proteins so allergy testing is unnecessary prior to the injections.
