Whats up with the Avengers?
During Avengers: Disassembled, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, went crazy and killed off several members of the team including Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Clint Barton (Hawkeye) and her android husband Vision. She’s a mutant whose powers involved reality-altering chaos magic, so every time she used them, she went a little more crazy. The clincher was when she realized the children she had with her husband weren’t really, and were just products of her powers. After the fiasco, Magneto took his daughter to Genosha with him to try and heal her mind while the Avengers lost their Government support and decided to disband. About six months later, Captain America and a group of others happened to be together when there was a prison break at The Raft, a high-tech prison island for super-villains. He decided the world needed new heroes and so he put the New Avengers together. The current lineup is Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Sentry, Wolverine, Luke Cage, and Ronin.
