Whats the recording speed of a CD-R?
The speed “rating” of a CD-Recroder determines how fast it can record or play back data. Ratings such as “1X,” “2X,” “4X,” and “8X” define multiples of original speed of first generation CD-ROM players. These data transfer speed translates about 150 KB per second (1X), 300 KB per second (2X), 600 KB per second (4X), and 1200 KB per second (8X), etc.
