Whats the program architecture for Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM)?
ILM draws user information out of a student directory and pushes it to Windows Live Hotmail. It comes with a number of management agents that are each pre-configured to integrate with a wide variety of directories from many vendors. Some of the platforms supported include: • Active Directory • Exchange Server 5.5 • Extensible Connectivity • IBM DB2 Universal Database • LDAP Data Interchange Format (LDIF) • Lotus Notes • Novell eDirectory 8.6.2 and 8.6 • Oracle Database 8s or 9i • SQL Server 7.0 or 2000 • Sun and Netscape Directory Servers • Delimited text file Since our program utilises ILM, you can continue to use these tools just as you are today to create and store e-mail addresses. Check the ILM website for a more complete list of supported platforms – http://www.microsoft.com/miis. ILM will translate student e-mail addresses from your institution domain into Windows Live IDs, the authentication mechanism we use for Windows Live services.
