Whats the difference between WMA and MP3 files?
Both formats can be used for storing and playing music on a PC. Using applications such as Windows Media Player you can organize songs into libraries and playlists with cover art and even lyrics. Playlists can then be burned onto a CD to play in the car or at home. The MP3 format offers the widest range of compatibility with portable music players, including Apple iPods. At Tesco Digital, all our music downloads are now in MP3 format only. We no longer offer music in WMA format but if you have previously purchased WMA files that you wish to convert to MP3, please click here for assistance. Please be aware that converting from WMA to MP3 is a one-off process and may not be reversed. Also, due to the higher bit rate of our MP3 tracks, file sizes will be larger. This means that, depending on the model or its capacity, fewer songs may fit on your portable player.
