The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is an application that provides a unified user interface for various operating tasks. Administrators can thereby create a single application through which they can complete all administration tasks. The MMC itself has no functionality – it simply provides a common user interface for various tools (user account administration, services administration etc.) The O&O Defrag MMC Snap-In can be integrated into this console with no problems at all.Users who prefer not to use the MMC can run O&O Defrag 11 locally without it. To facilitate this, we have provided you with a special container which reproduces the necessary functionality of the MMC in order to administrate O&O Defrag 11. The functionality of these two administration tools is exactly the same!
