Whats the best sugar cookie recipe ever?
All of my friends tell me these are the best they’ve ever had. I have to give out this recipe often! This was my grandmother’s recipe – and she was born in 1895. It’s the only one any of my cousins and siblings make. And my nieces use this one also, so it’s from their great grandmother! SUGAR COOKIES 3 C sifted flour 1 t baking powder ¼ t salt 1 ¼ C sugar 1 C butter/margarine 3 eggs 1 t vanilla Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter. Mix in beaten eggs & flavoring with a fork. Chill for 1 hour. Roll out very thin (1/8 to 1/4″) on floured board & cut using cookie cutters. Bake on greased baking sheet in a 375°F oven for 8 minutes. Frost and decorate as desired.
