Whats on the SAT?
The SAT has three parts: Critical Reading, Mathematics, and Writing, each of which is scored on a scale of 200-800 points. The test takes 200 minutes, or 3 hours and 20 minutes (with exceptions for certain students). Critical Reading consists of long and short reading comprehension passages with questions, as well as sentence completion exercises, all of which are multiple-choice. There are three Critical Reading sections on the test: two 25-minute sections and one 20-minute section. Mathematics consists of both multiple-choice and grid-in math questions, testing concepts related to arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and probability.
