Whats Funny About Porkys?
Let’s face it. Even with its vulgarity aspects — Porky’s is hysterical. The main reason is that every little story within Porky’s is funny on its own. These funny interludes include mostly practical jokes between the teenagers of the school that are mostly sexual oriented. There are absolutely too many of these jokes to even mention here but each one of them will cause you to roll on the floor laughing. In addition, the actors themselves have very contagious laughs and you can’t help but laugh along with them! In many of these, the brunt of the joke revolves around Pee Wee Morris (Dan Monahan) who is trying to have his first sexual experience. Through many of these practical jokes, he finds himself at the mercy of his friends’ warped sense of humor. Pee Wee’s nickname implies that his sexual prowess isn’t up to par and this also causes him a lot of grief! The best part of this movie though is the revenge that everyone gets on Porky.
