What type of fertilizer work best with the Mycorise®?
A. Most pesticides are compatible with mycorrhizal fungi, but the fungi can suffer from excessive phosphorus. Use fertilizers low in phosphorus, such as 20-10-20, 15-5-15, or simply use half of what you normally use. Q. Will PRO-MIX® Vegetable & Flower Bed Mix work on all plants? A. Mycorise® is a specific type of endomycorrhizal fungi that supports about 90 percent of plants in the world. Many of these plants are flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs that we are commonly familiar with PRO-MIX® Vegetable & Flower Bed Mix is formulated with an endomycorrhizal fungus that is compatible with the largest number of plants in horticultural and agricultural use. It does not work with Ericaceous plants, conifers, birch, beech, oak, and some woody plants. These plants benefit from another class of beneficial fungi called ectomycorrhiza.
