The websters answer: Information Systems are products of Information Technology developed which enables storage, manipulation and distribution of information. IT is the branch or sector which deals with the management of information Basically, IS is the software side, IT is the hardware side. Where I work: IT, IS, ETS, CIT, CIS = the same thing.
