Duetact is not for everyone. You should talk to your health professional if you have a history of congestive heart failure, liver problems, swelling (edema), or if you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. Duetact, particularly in combination with insulin, can cause fluid retention or swelling, which may lead to or worsen heart failure. Duetact may cause low blood sugar. Lightheadedness, dizziness, shakiness, or hunger may mean that your blood sugar is too low. Talk to your doctor if low blood sugar is a problem for you.
