What shall I do if my cat has gone missing?
You could put up missing posters with aphoto of him, tell everyone you know about him, put an ad in your local paper and visit local pet shelters to see if he has been handed in, leave out food for him just in case he return and you are out, call out for him, he may be living with a neighbour if they are feeding him.
Type up little notes and put them through all the letterboxes in your vicinity asking people to check their garages and sheds. Phone your local RSCPA and Cat Protection and inform them of your missing cat. Get in touch with your local radio station, sometimes they run a slot for missing pets. Good luck.
1) Ask all neighbours to check sheds/garages (your cat may have crept in to sleep and become trapped) 2) Put up posters with a picture & number (not your cats name-they may steal your cat!) 3) Ring round local vets to ask if anyone has found your cat or if your cat has been brought in (as them to put a card on the notice board).
Put up posters around your local area, in all local pet shops, vets and newsagents, but do not put your kittys name on these posters someone may use as a way of keeping your kitty, i was advised this by the rspca!! Also speak to your vet they be able to put the kitty on the national missing pet database!! phone your local rspca centre in case kittys been takin in!! Good luck i know what your going through one of mine went missing for three weeks turns out she was trapped in the coal bunker where the supermarket asda keep their bbq charcoal over the winter!!! never give up hope, when you least expect it they’ll turn up!!!
