Coaches, coaching staff, managers & trainers must be certified and have current police checks (renewed every 2 years) at the start of the season. All staff regardless of bench or on ice help must have Speak-Out training. The maximum number of coaching staff allowed on the bench (including trainer) is 4. Trainers and coaching staff are to ensure that all players are wearing MANDATORY neck protection. All on ice staff MUST wear helmets during practices – properly fastened. All coaches, assistant coaches, trainers and other staff who are on their team’s OWHA roster MUST have a current and valid police check completed and the original submitted to the Oakville Hornets office (no photocopies will be accepted). This criminal reference letter (click here to download the .doc Word file) is to be submitted when applying for the police check.
