What professional disciplines can diagnose apraxia?
Physicians, nurse practitioners, and speech-language pathologists can make a diagnosis of apraxia. Professionals are responsible for being aware of and acting within the scope of practice for the profession(s) in which they are licensed and/or certified. EIOs are responsible for ensuring that multidisciplinary evaluations to determine eligibility for the EIP are conducted by qualified personnel as defined in 10 NYCRR ยง69-4.1 (aj) of the EIP regulations.
