What process does the District follow for evaluation of teachers?
Teachers are evaluated by the building principals in Fridley. In cases where teachers work in multiple buildings, the evaluation process is shared by principals or assigned to a district administrator. The evaluation process is intended to evaluate, coach, and help staff members reach their potential. A rubric or grid is used by the administrator to help in determining the level of proficiency of teachers in various areas. Primary areas of focus include preparation and planning, the classroom environment, instruction, and professional responsibilities.
