A program is a series of projects carried out under one umbrella with a unified control, because there is a common thread behind it – the objective will normally to be leverage common resources across projects deriving a cost benefit as well as knowledge sharing and percolation. In that sense, a stand-alone single project perhaps does not need any offshore program management at all. However, if we talk about large offshore outsourcing deals, these are normally multi-year, mutli-technology, multi-service and multi-million dollar deals.
