What nursing responsibilities can I carry out with a temporary licence?
Temporary licence holders are required to practise within the responsibilities of the position for which they have been employed, and their nursing competencies. Nursing responsibilities and salary are mutually determined with the employing agency. As temporary licence holders do not have the designation registered nurse, it is recommended that you: not be placed in charge; have the end-of-shift drug count co-signed by an RN; not perform nursing procedures delegated to registered nurses; i.e., delegated medical functions.
