What Lighting Bugs Eat?
Lighting bugs eat earthworms, snails and slugs. They may even scavenge certain small dead animals and other organic material. Lighting bugs inject a kind of chemical that paralyzes their prey and helps digest it. Adult lighting bugs probably feed on plant nectar, some even eat other lighting bugs.
