What kinds of foods are common in Lijiang?
The local foods in Lijiang are no doubt influenced heavily by the rest of China where, among other things, rice is a staple at nearly every meal, and the hot spiciness that you find in Sichuan and the rest of Yunnan is found here as well. Traditional Lijiang food typically uses more potatoes and root vegetables and comes with large portions of meat, often in heavy soups.
