What kind of encryption does Cryptainer use?
Cryptainer supports Blowfish at 448 bits in cipher block chaining mode with a block size of 64 bytes, as well as, AES at 256 bits. Blowfish remains one of the most difficult to crack algorithms. As for AES, according to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) a machine that could crack a 56 bit DES key in one second will take 149 trillion years to break a 128 bit AES key.
