EMR Software that is accessible over the internet using a browser is called Web based EMR. There are two kinds of web based EMR – one which is offered on SaaS (Software as a service) and the other which is offered on ASP basis. From the end user perspective, it is immaterial but from the perspective of an EMR vendor, SaaS software is more complex and expensive to develop but easier to maintain.
