What is Usability Testing? [ Back to top ] Usability testing is a method of performing research to gain insight into the interactions between users and products. They may be performed in formal or informal settings but involve asking a participant to engage in using the product in question. The participant is observed so that information can be gathered about how the product is used and the feedback is used to redevelop the product. In some cases, the participants may be asked to use the product without being given any specific instructions. In others, the user may be asked to complete certain predetermined tasks using the product. What is a Focus Group?
