What is up with the artwork inside?
The song “Mutter” is basically about an artificially created person that doesn’t have any real parents. The song talks about how they have no navel (because they weren’t actually born) and how they have a tube in their throat (from experiments). The artwork for the entire Mutter CD follows this theme. The pictures of the band inside are as if they are being preserved in jars after death. The heart-waves, DNA symbols, labels, and such are all related to this.
