What is the Young Eagles Program?
Young Eagle flights provide free introductory Flights to young people ages 8 to 17 years of age. Nationwide, almost 1.3 million young individuals have been flown. Started in 1992 with a goal of flying 1,000,000 by Dec 17, 2003, the 100th anniversary of powered flight. The current national Young Eagles chairman is Harrison Ford. Former national Young Eagles chairman included General Chuck Yeager. Check the EAA Chapter 9 website for details.
