The Safety Attitudes Questionnaire (SAQ) was developed by the John Hopkins Quality and Safety Research group. It is an instrument that measures attitudes and behaviors related to patient safety. The SAQ has known psychometric properties confirming effective measurement of six factors: safety climate, teamwork climate, job satisfaction, working conditions, perceptions of management, and stress recognition.
