Through the IMHR project, classification specifications have been developed for information management (IM) positions within Government. IMCATs provide recommendations to departments on IM needs, including organizational structure and resource needs based on these classifications. Departments may restructure their IM group, create new IM positions and/or modify existing department positions based on IMCAT results.
