What is the Psychology Club?
The College of Charleston Psychology Club was formed in order to allow those interested in the field of psychology the opportunity to interact socially and academically. Our major goal is to expose students to a variety of psychology related topics, fields, and events. During the past years we have sponsored a number of speakers who discussed their research interests and professional experiences.
The past semester what we have done is we’ve gone to the scientology museum to see the arguments they’ve presented against psychiatry. We have had two guest speakers come into our club, one was a school psychologist from a middle school and we also had a psychology counselor from here on campus come.
The Psychology Club is a student-run organization that serves as a resource for students interested in learning more about a broad range of topics and opportunities in psychology and in meeting fellow students who share their enthusiasm for psychological exploration. Membership is open to students of all class years and majors.
Psychology Club is an organization focused on creating a sense of community among students of psychology. Its goals are to provide students interested in psychology with opportunities to interact with other students of similar interests. The organization also works to educate students regarding graduate school programs and careers available in the vast field of psychology. In addition, Psychology Club explores the area of psychology beyond the classroom through viewing films with themes relevant to the study of psychology, and taking trips to places such as mental hospitals and prisons.
The NAU Psychology Club welcomes students from all disciplines and backgrounds who are interested in psychological issues. In conjunction with the NAU chapter of Psi Chi, the Psychology Club sponsors a variety of events including speakers on a wide range of topics, activities and field trips, culminating in the annual Arizona Undergraduate Research Convention. Psychology club is an academic organization whose members are mostly psychology majors or minors (however, membership is open to all members). The club prides itself on being very active. Each year, we hold several fundraisers to support club activities. We co-sponsor seminars and workshops for students. We also participate in community service (for example, this year we plan on working with Habitat for Humanity). Each year we organize and partially sponsor trips to major regional and collegiate conferences, allowing our members the opportunity to attend professional presentations, socialize with others in the field, and to get t
