What is the procedure for payment of TA?
Indian Railways for the fiscal year 2004-05 onwards, is offering to un-employed youth attending interviews for selection to Central Govt. jobs, full concession in second class on production of call letter and copy of application. This aspect is also being kept in view while paying TA to candidates so as to ensure payment from only one source. Traveling allowance will, however, be paid to the candidates who are called for interview equivalent to single second class (not sleeper class) railway fare by the shortest route to the place of interview from the railway station nearest to the candidate’s normal place of residence or from which he actually performs the rail journey, whichever is nearer to the place of interview and back to the same station.
