What is the mission of WEA?
The mission of the Wyoming Education Association is to advance public education at all levels by creating equitable educational opportunity for all learners; promoting the highest quality standards for the profession; expanding the rights and furthering the interests of educational personnel. In making public schools great for every child, WEA’s strategic priorities are: Student Achievement Students with the skills and knowledge to function successfully in school settings and as citizens Staff Quality Schools and colleges staffed with highly qualified personnel in all positions School System Capacity Structures, resources, and personnel to support student achievement Public Support Public, parental, business, and legislative support for public education resulting in the financial, technical, and political environment that promotes student achievement Association Capacity Building Infrastructure at the local, district, and state levels that enables the Association to mobilize resources
