Users of the Shakespeare system (student or website accounts) can receive an e-mail message to 7.6MB. If a message that is over that size is sent to a Shakespeare system account, the sender will receive a non-delivery notice that says “Message size exceeds fixed maximum message size”. Users of Exchange system (faculty or staff) will not get this error since Exchange doesn’t have a message size limit. In most cases an e-mail message over 7.6 MB has a large attachment.
