What is the JVI?
Launched in 1992 by five international organizations and the Austrian authorities, the JVI assists transition countries by providing training in economics, banking, and institutional issues to transform centrally planned economies into market-oriented economies. The JVI offers training courses and seminars primarily to public officials; participants working in the private sector also attend seminars on specialized topics. Countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic and Balkan countries, the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Asian transition countries are eligible to send participants for training at the JVI. …..
