What is the idea?
It’s marketing man… the million pixel marketing concept is taking off! People are drawn to the artistic marketing expression of randomness that the million pixel marketing concept represents. As this site fills up, visitors will spend large amounts of time ‘uncovering’ the secret URLS behind those itty bitty ads! Make sure you are one of them!
The idea is simple: to raise $50,000 (US) by selling 400 40×40-pixel blocks for $125 each. That’s about $0.08 per pixel. All money collected from the selling of blocks will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fight blood cancers. My wife, Rene, and I are currently training to complete a 100-mile bicycle ride around Lake Tahoe this June to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as part of Team In Training. It will be my second TNT event and Rene’s first. Click here to view a PDF of my volunteer fundraiser status letter from the Northern Ohio Chapter of LLS. If you don’t want to buy blocks, but would like to make a donation, click here to be directed to my TNT fundraising page. The pixel-page concept started with Alex Tew’s Million Dollar Homepage. Alex was looking for a clever way to pay his university bills by selling one million pixels for $1 each. Alex reached his goal and made Internet history.
The idea is simple; many online retailers offer an affiliation program that rewards a percentage of a sale to whoever referred business to them. This percentage is typically between 1-5%, and sometimes a flat rate depending on the retailer. More and more of us are shopping online because it is convenient and very often you can get a good bargain! Shopping For Charity is a referral portal, and the gateway from which we hope you will always start your online shopping. 100% of the referral fee earned by us will be donated to a nominated charity. So long as you start your shopping journey from this site to click through to the featured onine retailers, you will be ‘shopping for charity’.
