What is the Financial Aid Advisor and how do I use it?
The Financial Aid Advisor is an interactive tool designed to find financial aid options people can use to pay for education and training. The tool asks a series of questions and creates a profile of financial aid resources. To use the tool, you will need tax returns, details about Social Security and other government benefits you receive, and other financial statements. See the instructions for more information about the documents you will need. Audio Highlights are also available to introduce students to critical information to consider as they prepare for education after high school. Audio Highlights will also introduce them to other resources (Web sites and Braille and print publications) that provide more details relating to each topic listed in the contents. Audio Highlights can be found at www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov/audio.
