The Foundation Level exam consists of approximately 40 multiple choice questions of 1 points each. An exam amounts to 40 points total, of which 65%(26 points) must be attained in order to pass. The exam is a closed book exam. You have 75 minutes to finish.

The Foundation Level exam consists of 40 multiple choice questions. It tests the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of the entire Foundation Level syllabus. To pass the exam 65% of the questions must be anwered correct. You have 60 minutes to finish the exam.The Advanced Level exam consists of three moduls of 180 minutes each. They correspond to three different areas with an exam for each area: Test Management, Test Analyst and Technical Test Analyst. All these moduls must be passed with more than 65% of the possible credits that can be achieved in order to get the Full Advanced Level certificate. It is also possible to choose only one or two areas. You get a single certificate for every modul.

The Exams are computer-based tests (CBTs) delivered at testing centers owned or licensed by Pearson VUE. Exams are multiple-choice and include text and BPMN diagrams.
