The English Usage Test is an hour-long 80 multiple-choice question exam that tests the proficiency of basic English skills. All journalism and advertising students must take and pass this exam unless they are exempt. Students who earned an ACT-English score of 26 or higher or a SAT-Verbal score of 590 or higher are exempt from the EUT. Students have may take the test up to three times and students can take the exam once during JLMC 110 the advertising and journalism orientation class.
