In May, 2004, a group of parents came together for the purpose of praying and seeking God’s will in having a classical Christian school in the Greenville area. An Interim Steering Committee was formed and on June 16, 2004, the Steering Committee made a recommendation to proceed with a classical Christian school in Grades K5 – 8. That school was soon named Greenville Classical Academy (GCA). On July 13, 2004, the parents convened and elected a Board of Directors. September 7, 2004, marked the first day of school with 54 students enrolled. Back to Top What grade levels does GCA offer? For the 2004-05 school year, GCA offered grades K5 – 8. We added 9th grade in 2005-06, 10th grade in 2006-07, 11th grade in 2007-08 and 12th grade in 2008-09. We also offer the Home School Alliance Program for home-schooled students in grades 7 – 12
