What is the ECW?
All across the country, there are local wrestling federations. These are not televised nationally. Some of them aren’t televised at all. There’s usually a pretty low budget, but a decent crowd of wrestling fans gather each week to watch their local wrestling starts up close and in person. Some of these federations have existed even before the WWF and WCW. In fact, many times talented wrestlers are scouted from these independent organizations by the WCW and WWF. Because of this many wrestlers try their hand at their local wrestling federation, in order to try out wrestling, or perhaps to be noticed by one of the big feds, or to at least have a nice resume for when they go to enter them, or maybe just because they love wrestling.
